Ces m\u00e9thodes, bas\u00e9es sur la recherche de traces d\u2019ADN dans l\u2019environnement (ADN environnemental ou ADNe), permettent d\u2019am\u00e9liorer le suivi d\u2019esp\u00e8ces rares ou discr\u00e8tes et visent \u00e0 renforcer les op\u00e9rations de veille environnementale \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale. Elles sont utilis\u00e9es pour identifier, \u00e0 partir d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon d\u2019eau, de sol, de f\u00e8ces ou de miel, l\u2019ensemble des esp\u00e8ces d\u2019un groupe taxonomique donn\u00e9 pr\u00e9sentes dans le milieu \u00e9tudi\u00e9 (ADNe metabarcoding). Elles permettent \u00e9galement le suivi d\u2019esp\u00e8ces cibles (ADNe barcoding), souvent menac\u00e9es ou exotiques envahissantes.
