Directory of initial training programs for biodiversity professions

Within the framework of the “Engineering and Ecological Engineering Horizon 2030” roadmap and the LIFE BIODIV’FRANCE project, A-IGEco is leading a key initiative: strengthening the recognition of biodiversity professions and training programs. The sector, while dynamic, suffers from a lack of clarity and structure, limiting its attractiveness and development.

To meet this challenge, A-IGEco has created a provisional directory of initial training programs. This nearly exhaustive catalog lists degree programs from the Baccalaureate level to Master’s level (Bac+5), covering mainland France and its overseas territories. It is based on a survey and characterization effort conducted since 2020, in collaboration with training providers and students.

This directory will feed into the future careers and training portal, planned for 2027 in partnership with the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) and Nature Reserves of France (RNF). This regularly updated portal will offer tailored guidance to students and professionals, while increasing the visibility of career opportunities in the sector.

UPGE Continuing Education Directory

The Union of Professionals in Ecological Engineering (UPGE) offers a catalogue of continuing education courses in ecological engineering, specially designed for professionals in career transition.

It lists the training courses offered by its members, covering key skills for entering the field of ecological engineering. This tool complements the existing offerings and meets the needs of adults wishing to pursue meaningful careers in the ecological transition.
