The LIFE Biodiv’France project is an ambitious project co-financed by the European Union. It aims to support the implementation of 28 of the 40 measures of the 2030 National Biodiversity Strategy (NBS). Within this framework, A-IGEco is leading or co-leading several skills-related actions.

The LIFE BIODIV’France : a large-scale program

It spans from 2024 to 2032 and includes 30 associated beneficiaries and 17 affiliated entities.

The LIFE BIODIV’FRANCE project is coordinated by the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB) at the request of the Ministry of Ecological Transition.

The project is structured into 9 work packages (WP) = 9 pillars.

The 9 pillars/WPs of LIFE BIODIV’FRANCE

A-IGÉco is involved in WP 7 “ Skills Development  ”

This pillar is itself divided into 3 parts:

T7.1: Structuring Biodiversity Professions

T7.2: Creation of new vocational training programs in biodiversity

T7.3: Integrating biodiversity into specific training programs and target groups

A-IGEco is involved in this pillar 7, part T7.1

Our pilot association is undertaking 3 initiatives:

The creation of a catalogue of initial training courses

(action carried out in 2024)

The implementation of a certification system for initial training programs

(working group launched in March 2025)

The creation of a communication campaign on careers in biodiversity

(action scheduled for 2026)

In parallel, A-IGEco also supports the other actors in this pillar (RNF and OFB) in their actions:

  • Portal for careers and initial and continuing training in biodiversity,
  • Prospective study of jobs, skills and the market across the entire sector,
  • Creation of a skills framework and skills certification,
  • Study and creation of NAF sub-codes for biodiversity professions in different sectors,
  • Biodiversity professions observatories.
The actions and drivers of these actions within work package (WP) 7 “Skills Development”
